4th Annual CHW Conference: Coloring Outside The Lines

Mark your calendars for the 4th Annual Conference of the Virginia Community Health Worker Association on October 24. This event, a unique opportunity for CHWs from all over the world, will bring together recognized speakers, local, state, and federal dignitaries, nonprofit, philanthropic, and private-sector experts, and CHWs.

It’s a chance to network, grow professionally, and, most importantly, celebrate the significant advances CHWs have made in communities. We look forward to this event, which will infuse community-based principles and bridge health, educational, social, and justice systems. We are proud to announce that all participants will receive a free strength-based character personal assessment (similar to Myers Briggs).

Our theme, ‘Coloring Outside The Lines,’ celebrates each individual’s unique perspective and skill set. We are inspired by innovation and empathize with those who see the world ‘differently.’ This theme will be woven throughout the conference, making it a must-attend event for all who share our vision.

The main objectives of the 4th Annual Conference of the Virginia Community Health Worker Association are crucial. We aim to increase awareness about the role and impact of CHWs across the Commonwealth of Virginia and promote spaces where CHWs can feel heard, seen, and respected. This conference is not just an event but a platform for engagement and commitment. It’s open to CHWs, Promotores de Salud, Community Health Representatives (local and international), employers, partners, stakeholders, and donors, and we need your involvement to make it a success.

The event will take place on Thursday, October 24, 2024, and will be a one-day event. It will start at 9:00 a.m. and conclude with a Mini Gala featuring a Talent Show and Awards and Recognitions.
